But, I started as Russia and it didn't have any army at all. Is that a bug?

assimilate was done as a full swap because % ones would need to do A LOT of complicated stuff we had no time to test and wasnt worth the effort for an easter egg

Would it be complicated to be able to exclude accepted cultures from assimilation?

I don't know if it's been reported already but I've spent like 60 years of game and not a single crisis has been backed, nor playing as Serbia, allied to Russia and 200 opinion with every great power neither Greek crises in the same game.

So, I installed the update and started the game, hoping to have some great Prussian action. But instead I got the good old blank map bug:

Try do a clean install. Tell Steam to uninstall. delete the folders that steam forgets to delete and the documents folders and install again.

• Crisis with attacker backer and no defender backer now resolves automatically in favor of attacker rather than fizzling.

Goshdarnit never thought I'd see the day this got fixed.

I hope there is an option for the defender to fight alone, rather than give up automatically.

I can confirm that giving/asking military access is broken. So is debug yesmen.
religion = X command to confirm a country religion is also broken, but that predates the patch.
A way to have elections be like they used to be (by state) for modders would also be good, so people can have a choice.

Thanks guys. We certainly are a lucky bunch to have devs provide a patch with fairly substantial quality of life improvements for a game which is no longer being developed, epecially for free during your "holiday" time.

Not at all. Had a great game of Mexican Empire (ended 9th place)! In my campaign there wasn't even a single world war until the end (and I had no need to plot one, I had enough chunks of China ). Finished with a very monarchist world, in total contrast to the real 1936 world, and if liberals weren't taking control in elections I could end with a much larger industry but had enough of mini-managing and subsiding so I reconciled with it.

Nice! In a true tradition of "Lets celebrate a new beta patch to an old Paradox game with an AAR MP game", maybe it would be time to get up an AAR MP Vicky2 game, right @Peter Ebbesen and @Wyvern &Co?

Sadly my version of the game was from GamersGate. However noticed it's on 75% off on Steam, and I'd never gotten around to trying the expansions, so picked them all up . Won't have time to play until after Christmas.

I can confirm this, Sweden actually went to war with Russia on day 1 and then got defeated after Russia mobilized.
