Well i wouldn't know why it would be a management nightmare from the players point of view ,he has few options ,add ships or don't add ships (or decrease) ,and thats it really.You click a few if you need more and you click a few if you want less ,if you ever industrialized China in this game then the amount of clicking needed just for adding or decreasing a few ships is peanuts.

The real management is under the hood.but as i said i am open to any thought of abstraction and then i won't say other guys idea's holds merrit to ,all i want is that there would atleast be a representation of transport and it's cost and it's effect on profitabilety and location of industry's.

I could have named this thread "merchat marine idea" ,but i choose "lack of transport costs" because eventually this is the point of this discussion ,finding a way to represent historical costs of transport in that time and it's effect on economy ,because as it is the WM is more like a teleportation device.
