Viceroyalty & Full council authority

In my current game, I've just noticed that my previously primogeniture kingdom title is returned to me as elective! It seems that the viceroy's vassal pushed for full council authority, which resulted in elective. Can anyone confirm this? I really hope this is not WAD...

Seems like it works like it's supposed to.
Your king vassal was factioned to pieces. Make stronger king level vassals, to control the dukes better.

If you're planning on using it as a viceroyalty, it doesn't really matter does it?
And if you're not, you shouldn't ever had let the title out of your hands.

If it's a really big problem, you can just destroy and recreate the title. Assuming your empire is primo.
