Viceroyalty back to Duchy? How?

I revoked a Viceroy title and wanted to grant it to someone else as a regular duchy. I can't seem to figure out how to switch the title back to a feudal duchy. I can only regrant it as a viceroyalty.

Grant Landed Title -> Duchy of X

It doesn't show up in the list of duchies I can give out. Only when I click to grant a VR does the duchy show up. I can't destroy the title either because it's a VR.

Are you a King under a Viceroyalty using Empire?

Damn, I suppose that's it. I was Byzantine Emperor once and made as many kingdom titles i could before my death. I continued on as the King of Sicily, and my issue was with the duchy of Langobardia being a viceroyalty. Since it was de-jure Sicily and my King's direct vassal I figured that I had control over it being viceroyal or regular duchy.

So i'm not able to change it because I'm under a viceroyal using Empire... Well, i guess I'll really have to hope that the Armenian King's independence faction continues to grow; I need out this empire business.
