But for some historical context: The italians of the time felt themselves very much as victors that got betrayed by their allies at the peace conference. This was a major factor in mussolinis rise to power.

Italy was, in fact, amongst the victors. I think you skipped that history lesson.
I dont want to start an argument over post war diplomacy.
Edit: Im not offended at all, I just saw the "winning" and wanted to make things clear. I am not interested in discussing this since it will end up in derailing the thread. If you want to do it for any reason, feel free to pm me.
