Very weird Stellaris 2.2.3 behavior with my keyboard

I'm running Stellaris 2.2.3 on my mac and since this patch after some gameplay in (only) Stellaris it disables my bluetooth keyboard in a strange way. The computer says the keyboard is connected but apparently it loses it's identity and I have to go in the Bluetooth setup remove the keyboard connection from the computer and power cycle the keyboard then manually have the computer reconnect (starts up as being not connected). Once the identity of the keyboard is lost, the keyboard doesn't work for program I have running until I resolve the issue (stated before) or reboot.

NOTE: If I connect the bluetooth keyboard via its USB port after this problem occurs the keyboard resumes working. However, if I disconnect the USB the bluetooth way of working still doesn't work even though there is plenty of power on the keyboard. This didn't happen with Stellaris 2.2.2 or earlier versions. This problem only occurs in Stellaris 2.2.3.
