I can`t believe the smatness and cleverness of AI in new Arma 1.2. Comparing it to Doomsday it is genious. I havent seen such an elastic defence for ages... what have they done?

How the AI manages to determine the province that is under big threat of encirclement? I managed to mention that AI puts a smaller number of units in a province under such type of a threat and puts bigger number of divisions in a province(s) to be conquered in order to encircle the other.

Besides that, AI now creates a defence disposed in depth not only concentratig the forces on the frontline, but also in the reserves, in the provinces that are situated beyond the frontline provinces, thus significantly increasing the succes rate of a possible counter-attack.

Both these facts make an encirclement a very hard task, and even if the encirlclement is succesful it only allows to destroy a small amout of divisions.

Or is it just luck (that AI is smart this time)?

I am now stuck in USSR on close approaches to moscow, after 2 years of slow movement towards the capital. And that is after my multipe succesfull Blitzkriegs in Doomsday 1.2 achieving Bitter Peace in 1-1.5 years alomost every time i attacked USSR.
