very long loading screen

My loading screen when start new game or loading a game in deus vult took long time to finish, about 1 minute more. the loading bar ( with "reading scenarion.." written on it ) became very slow near completion. comparing to original crusader kings the loading screen took only 30 second i think. has anyone experience this too? i hope it is not caused by some faulty file.

I have this slowdown with 2.1b, but not significant, some 5-10 second at worst, so it was not really annoying. I suppose that large file with 2.1b is a reason but have no proofs

If that is only with CK and not with any other program then you could try several things:
You do have CK-DV and the last beta patch installed?

You don´t have several dozen savegames for CK-DV have you? If so delete some of those you don´t need anymore.
You have recently defragmented that harddrive? If not check if defragmentation should be taken care of.
You don´t have other programs running in the background? If so close them before starting CKDV.

i used latest DV beta patch and no program run behind the game. even when my save games are 0, long loading screen still occur when start the game.

well i'll try that, took long time but worth trying.

i tried to reinstall DV without the patch, but the loading screen still took long time. this annoying because i like to quit the game and look at some faq before resume playing
