Very lagy game after DLC

Hello ever since SoA and the new patch i have unbelievable lag. Ive played holy roman empire when you could easily have 130k troops all moveing to one position with like 40 armys on one screen. And ive had no lag. Now constant lag through even only a few army's moving. Also days just wont go fast anymore even at the highest setting. There has been no difference between my computer apart from the patch so this can only really be the cause.

I'm also noticing an uptick in lag in general in the game, though from nothing in particular that I've noticed.

I only noticed a longer time needed to go past the first splash-screen, but that's all.

If you are playing Ironman there will be delays when autosaving all the time of course, is that it?

Yep, I'm having the same issues. No lag at all before, now it is as if the game is constantly skipping frames, almost jittery.

Haven't touched ironman yet, myself. Everything just seems less responsive than before. Menus taking longer to load, buttons taking longer to register clicks, etc. etc.

I have messed with all the settings to see if it would make any difference. None at all. It lags at the exact same points no matter what i do it must be the game.

Sorry to spam my own thing here no i wasn't using ironman. Completely normal game.

I suggest you try a full clean re-install - can't hurt, might help:

STEAM
- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "delete local files" in Steam
- manually delete all files left under Steam/CK2 AND Documents/CK2
- re-install game in Steam, run a verify when done.

GAMERSGATE
- move any valued save games elsewhere
- uninstall the game from Windows
- manually delete all files left under the GG CK2 AND Documents/CK2 folders
- re-install game from GG but point it to a new location outside the system path, such as c:\games\ck2\
- apply the latest patch (only)
