Playing as Germany in 1.06c & C.O.R.E.

It's decmeber 1939, i have annexed Poland and France after demanding the maginot line from them (Vichy has now Fired). I then demanded Luxemburg and have now sent down 4 divisions into Central Africa to guard my holdings there. Started taking the English Province of Freetown and a few others. I have started getting some of the huge amounts of rubber back to France but now have trouble getting supplies to my troops.

I set up a convoy from the west coast of France to Freetown which worked for the first day but now won't work? (it has right amount of transports). Does this not work because i can't deploy new forces to france?? (just a thought).

Another funny though is that Japan DOW on Russia in mid 39 and are now getting their arse kicked.

Yes, supplies and oil are convoyed "on demand." Note, though, that the number of convoys shown as needed is equal to the number of sea zones traversed, not the adequate number of transports needed to keep troops suplied. Sometimes you have to double and even triple the "required" number of transports to adequately supply your troops. Specialy large armored and aviation formations.

Are you playing the core mod Botza? There are some events that may lead to a war between Russia and Japan (I'm not certain that they are core specific but I think so).

In my game as Japan I stayed away from Russia until '44, when I realized that the germans were having difficulties defeating the 650 divisions strong russian army :p

At the same time I saw that the US had for some reason declared war on the allies and were kicking England's butt

Seems that only the russians can stop the axis now :p

Ghostwriter to answer your question i did just that. The russians had no one to defend and with winter setting in, in late 41 the german armies are at the doorstep of Lenningrad and Moscow. Only thing is without the numbers from the russians there i couldn't achieve the normal amount of destruction through encirclements. The russians are now reinforcing all along the front. But come summer in 42 the new Panther tank should be ready to be unleashed. (insert evil laugh here) :p

Could be sphere of influences. If Germany happened to get any of the Central or South American countries in the Axis, thus putting them at war with the Allies, than the US would join the Axis

I think you are right about the spheres of influence making the US do this, as there were one or two South American nations in the axis. Haven't checked the game history yet. The US did not join the axis however, they are still 'neutral'.

It's a bit bad for gameplay, it is more fun when the US help England :)

That is weird then. If it was sphere of influence, then the US would have joined whatever alliance the south/central american country was in, which would be the Axis in this case. I'm not sure how they have the Monroe Doctrine set up to work but that could also be it too.
