Greetings!

Michael has kindly included the latest official release of the AGCEEP in the April 2023 1.3 beta. This is version 1.60, which is now fully updated and revamped for the new patching cycle, and includes use of the recently-reworked Rebels system. All cultures and tags have been standardized so as to improve compatibility with vanilla and reduce confusion for future changes.

Please grab the new beta and get testing!

Special thanks @Ayeshteni (now also added to the mod credits) for some of the new flags and shields, which are always the main roadblock when adding new tags.

Please note that 1.60 uses a new AGCEEP_FTG folder structure so as to reduce compatibility issues with older, obsolete data. Feel free to delete the existing AGCEEP mod folder in your install.

Finally, please come over and join us on the FTG Modding Discord server for discussion of the new game features and future possible ideas for the AGCEEP!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that 1.60 is based on the last official 1.59 beta (4), so it is inclusive of those changes. The 1.59 changelog is included in the readme file beneath the 1.60 changelog.

Yes, and the missing GFX sets have been added. :)

I went through most of the threads here collating bug reports and other minor fixes; mostly anything that didn't require substantial reworks or balance changes. I did the bulk of the database work over four days a couple of months ago. Michael's error report tool has picked up a couple of minor issues which will be fixed in the next beta, alongside a missing a leader for an old ENG event. I'll also see about tidying up some issues with the Gotland event file, which seems to be broken/unfinished.

Further changes and fixes will be an ongoing 1.60x version, whereas anything subsequent to the final 1.3 patch release will be released independently in separate AGCEEP updates as per the old days.

I hope there are still some of you left to check out the new patch and the updated AGCEEP. Please leave Michael your feedback on the new beta patch and Rebels in 1.3 April Beta patch thread.

This is a substantive update and includes a lot of the remaining AGCEEP submissions and bug fixes from the FtG forum, as well as some from the EU2 forum. I've literally scoured through two decades' worth of material collating content for this patch, which will likely be the final 1.60 update of the year.

I've also implemented MKJ's old submissions relating to Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa, added a bunch of late-game placeholder monarchs suggested by khannate, implemented some new city name change commands (e.g. Danzig), made some improvements to the WotR sequence, and added Nepal - which, due to its location and the fact we're really just removing a single province from Tibet, shouldn't cause any balance issues. There's also some new content for Champa and a couple of province events to represent its transition to Vietnam (an idea originally planned by PhilipV/Jayavarman which we'd implemented in vanilla a while back).

Thanks to everyone who has contributed over the years, to prior HC members for their stewardship, and to Michael for hosting the AGCEEP mod and website.

In fact, the best incarnation of the AGCEEP I have ever played was in Europa Universalis 2. It used a beautiful map, perhaps called "MyMap". And there were more events than the FtG AGCEEP has. And not only events for additional countries, but also for the old ones. For example, I remember events for the Teutoic Order about the Baltic grain trade. Do you know this AGCEEP incarnation? Is it possible to have these extra events in the FtG AGCEEP in the future?
(There was one big bad thing with this incarnation: after about 100 years of gameplay, the game timer (game speed) became so slow that it was almost impossible to continue playing. My PC was good at that time).
