That's great, I grew tired of the bugs in my recent game. I'm going to give it another chance now. :)

Mixed about that 1.105.

So far, the economic model was that villages grew fast in wealth, generating larger revenues.
It influences the capability to project forces as you had to defend your hamlets if you wanted to keep up your forces.

Now back to M&B, wealth levels do not go beyong average in ages and you have it easy to project your forces far away from your hamlets at no costs.

It also introduced a nasty bug as auto resolution appears to be flawed.

Was involved in some large battles (1000vs1000) so I tipped the battle to our advantage. Just to discover that a 800 army was to lose against a 150 army as the auto resolution gave out results like 100 loss to my side against a 4 casualties to the other side.

I never liked auto-resolution. I always ended up with very unfavorable results.
Even if my Surgery had been high enough for there to be no deaths among my troops, there were plenty of kills when I chose to auto-resolve.

Anyway, fighting battle is at least 75% the fun of the game, so why skip them?

Probably because they provide nothing at all.

When starting a 1100 enemy against 800 yours, battle is fine till the tipping point. Once the tipping point is reached, zero prestige is offered and the battle is uninteresting. After playing a streak of four or five battles, skipping the sixth and/or seventh is welcome.

Never had that unfavourable results before. An army of 500 against less than 100 losing more than 100 quality troops while inflicting only 4 or five casualties is a bug.

When it occurred, I noticed it is like my party is not taken into account. The report does not account for my troops. Is the battle resolve without including the leadership bonuses?
Happened when I was Marshall. Against Swadian.

If you got the game via GamersGate (and why wouldn't you, if buying a Paradox-published title? As much as I love Steam, they tend to drop the ball on Pdox games), the patch is available from your "My Games" list. Simply click, run, and enjoy!

It fixed lancing!

Woot!

No more needing the X key and a lot less swapping from 1st and 3rd person view. Still helps to be in 1st person for precision. No longer has the 4 second time out on the lancing either.

I did have to restart my game.

My prior game was in an ugly bug where my only castle with advisor was taken, i retook the castle but they where gone... and I was getting dozens of messages travelling. Messages completely out of context like "the village is in such a state", the bandit "we'll have your blood" etc while travelling on the map and not in a village or encounter. soo... was likely having to restart anyway.

As a way to gain Honor and relations with the various Lords, I went on a grand quest to free every imprisoned-lord I can find. That made me notice that the bug that causes the prisoners to join the fight has not been fixed. Still, even though I tell the 1% health remaining Lords to avoid the fighting, they charge faster than I can run into every enemy they see and die, making me unable to rescue them without using the CTRL+ALT+F4 cheat to get rid of all the enemies.

I'd really like the ability to get these weaklings NOT to charge straight into their immediate defeat and let me do the fighting for once.
