Just wanted to check how doable this is.

She has 1 taunt (and can supplement with magic).

She has boosts to dodge, can use dodge as parry, can gain bonuses to dodge every time she gets hit and riposte every time she gets missed.

Only thing she's missing is a higher engagement limit.

Seems like she'd be better at it than kills-in-shadow? All the beast woman gets is +45% health and resistance to 3 damage types. With neither deflection nor armor.

She's the best tank out of the available companions later on imo. Engagement limits seem near useless since the enemy beelines towards the squishier characters anyway. Taunts are very unreliable as they use athletics as attack rolls and it's hard to level, especially given that you want defensive stats too. The best taunts are emotion spells once you get them so getting used to casting spells with her is not a bad idea.

She also gets light armour which in the long run is much superior to heavy armour (Barrick) or no armour (KIS). Tbh KIS doesn't look like a viable tank to me at all.

And tank with no damage is also kinda worthless since keeping enemy attention is really hard, Verse can dish out some decent damage while being hard to hit at least.

Well, I did like Barik as a tank with his armor upgraded. Nice seeing a bane cast dervish and he just takes 1 damage a bunch :p

And wielding the artifact spear, he only had to worry about crush damage.

There are some attacks that are blocked by heavy armour nicely but generally speaking on PotD many enemies can easily hit you for 100 or more. At this point having max deflection becomes much better for tanking. Barrick also struggled getting levels later on for me since his attacks are incredibly slow so he gets less offensive skills xp. Not to mention he's not great at dealing damage either (he can hit pretty hard, but again he's just so damn slow).
