I've racked up some hours in Cities Skylines and I've decided to start documenting my cities. I started a new series that will track the progress of the city along with a family of cims using the Favorite Cims mod. I built a level 5 low residential asset called the Mayor Mansion and the first family to move in would kick the series off. The family member with the best job will be the defacto "elected" Mayor.

I'll try to narrate my thoughts and choices through the story of the city's Mayors, crediting them for constructions, managing the budget and tracking the progress/timeline of the city with the lifespan of it's Mayors. With money being tight atm and cims having short lifecycles the scale of what I'm able to build during one Mayor's term seems to be balanced but each Mayor will try to out do it's predecessor by expanding and improving the city. Who knows maybe the cims of Verisland will honor them with a Monument someday if they're able to make major impacts to the city.

I hope Cities Skylines gets a Mayor DLC that takes these ideas beyond what I'm able to do with just mods and storytelling. Until then, here's the city of Verisland and its Mayors.
