Isn't Nordic countries the term for Scandinavia + Finland and Iceland (and depending on your stance Scotland and Estonia)

The Nordic countries are Scandinavia, Iceland, and Finland. I think Estonia is trying to enter the union or something like that, but Scotland, no. They're part of the UK.

Traditionally you could say Scotland was Nordic as a large part belonged to Norway. But as it is unified with England, Wales and NI then it will still remain British. If Scotland were to secede from the UK then politically it could technically become part of Scandinavia/Nordic. Ask yourself why the Faroe Islands are Nordic when they are closer to Scotland than they are to Norway. I remember there was a large discussion on this matter with last year's referendum (I'm Scottish).

Estonia is in a similar position, belongs in that "Eastern Block" of nations nowadays but technically it is Nordic in my opinion due to its access to the Baltic Sea.

Theres a whole load of videos explaining the differences of the names, but If I say Scandinavian, I'm generally referring to those countries which get into the Empire of Scandinavia in CK2. So Finland and Iceland are in.
