Neutralising the Ottomans for a while is a good deal. The business wit hthe new wars .. well I suspect wihle your BB remains high this is just going to keep happening.

I'm surprised that you're hanging in there as well as you are, considering the ongoing 'Infinity War'. Keep this up and eventually (perhaps in a 100 years or so) your BB will be low enough that things quiet down on their own. In the mean time, enjoy Venice's busy social calendar.

More wars? I don't even have another new comment to add. You and coz seem to be going for records though, him for inflation and you for years at war The OE will not be able to DoW at all as long as they have access. It seems a little odd getting those nice events in the face of all this war but I wouldn't complain.

I too am surprised at your lack of high war exhaustion. In truth, it might help you somewhat - rebels are still armies to fight should the AI get stuck with them while they are sieging.

Your WE might be low but your level of frustration must be up in the thousands... I also fear that your swapping of the Tyrolean navy for the Scottish one might be a risky gamble And the Pope is back, lest we forget your old friend...

Not sure what you mean but there has been no replaying. No reloads, no second chances. If I screw up that’s too bad for me. I have had three CTD and had to replay them from the auto safe but that’s all. Not that I wasn’t tempted to try again a few times.

August 1474 and I thought I’d look and see how bad Austria’s war exhaustion was becoming. I mean they've been fighting for a couple of decades so it must be a problem right? Well I took a look at Krain and I see that their revolt risk is 0%. Reasons are -4 religion, +2 cultural differences, -5 stability and +2 war exhaustion. I don’t think I can count on my enemies having problem with revolts because of the war.
Istria is once again besieged with 40,000 men and I think I’m going to sit in Veneto for the moment. Then this happens.
It wasn’t a hard choice so I’m out 50 ducats.
Thought I’d take a look at my Bad Boy.

So you all know the routine by now. I set sail for Ragusa where I land my men and attack the enemy army. It’s my 24,000 against their 7,000 and I destroy their army and besiege the province.
So everything is going the same way it has for the last 10-20 years when I notice that Dalmatia just revolted. Now that by itself wasn’t a surprise it was what the rebels were doing that caused a deep and growing concern.
They are assaulting the fort??? I can’t assault a pile of dirt up to my kneecaps but even rebels can now assault? I’ve got to get out of this war and address the serious issue that’s developing with me falling behind in the tech race.
Thought is might be interesting to see my revolt risk after 25 years of war.
I do find those low percentages puzzling..
I’m still sending out peace offers and this happens.
Finally I get the worst of the alliances off my back Woo Hoo! Eat my shorts Austria!

I’m feeling embolden at the moment. Who wouldn’t be after getting Austria, Hungary and Bohemia off their shoulders? I’m not sure what to do next since my enemies are far flung and clearly not rushing into battle. So I decide to march my army back to Veneto but before I can get more than a hop, skip and a jump down the road Scotland fires the first shot across my bow.
They’ve got to be kidding, right?
I sail down and notice that the invasion force has disappeared from the island but I’ve got my dander up and plan on kicking someone’s butt.
I win they lose and Corfu is safe.
Which is closely followed by Crete revolting and before the month ends the rebels capture the fort. I didn’t watch but I imagine they assaulted the fort. On top of this great news I learn that my leader dies so I’m back to average army leaders. Not good.
Austria continues to grow as they absorb Serbia. I’d really need to get on the good side of Austria.
In January 1476 the Ottomans take Ionia from Albania. I have mixed feelings about this. I thought I’d be able to easily take Ionia back from Albania at some time in the future but this does give me a CB against the Ottomans. Yea like I can do anything about that for a long time.
By February I defeat the rebels in Crete and start a siege.
September 1476 and I lost the leader of my fleet. I now have no one to lead my glorious armies or navies.
The situation right now is I’m happily sieging away in Crete but in the back of my mind I’m wondering how long it will take the Pope, or should I say Siena since the Pope isn’t known for springing into action, to get in gear and start heading toward Mantua. There’s nothing stopping them since my entire army is tied up in Crete. So I decide what the heck and send them a Status Quo peace offer.
And damn if they didn’t accept.
Well if it worked once it could work again. So I offer another peace proposal.
Once again a Status Quo peace and they accept.
The war lasted from December 1447 when Wallachia declared war to October 1476 when Hannover accepted peace. Damn almost 30 years but not quite. Excuse me while I try to contain my disappointment..

Couldn't you have waited with sending those status quo offers until you had officially reached 30 years of war? 30 looks so much more impressive and bad-ass then 29...
With your BB, I wouldn't go into another war any time soon. Your enemies will engulf you again the moment you do that. Watch my Brandenburg. I DoW someone when having something like 5 BB and two other states DoW me in return.

I think you'll be left alone for a while if you keep your nose down and buddy up with Austria as you suggested. Let's hope so.

One thing on war exhaustion - I noticed that it seems to get higher more quickly if you are in enemy territory (in other words, acting offensively rather than defensively.) Not sure how that is calculated, but seeing as you've mostly been marching around your own territories during the bulk of the war, perhaps that is why it wasn't as high. Otherwise, I'd have to agree...30 years at war and it's barely over 10? I bet your stab research was pretty shoddy too during that (...like negative.)

Excellent news. I had to check that I was reading it right though to make sure you were actually at peace. Enjoy the lie down but don't get too comfy. As to the question of when will the BB be low enough to stop the attention? It is a relative thing. The ai targets the nation with the highest BB preferentially. Is there anyone else getting close to you?

Oh, and as far as the hate goes, I doubt you'll have to suffer peace long. Not usually with Storey's playing style...
