Looks like the Nationalist are going to win the SCW. I like to see that you didn't personally intervene like alot of Italian players like to do.

And Balbo as the leader of Italy would have been interesting, perhaps you can save him from his "mysterious death," anyways good luck!

I always love to see how others handle Italy, truly one of the most interesting nations to play in HoI as they sit in a great position to return to old glory, yet that still takes the skills of a good player; something surely you can handle since you saved Turkey in the Doomsday scenario.

Turkey in Doomsday Scenario was a nutcase. I double checked if it was on very easy or something. I guess AI was expecting more AI, not a human player.

Let me tell you how it will go as Italy, from my earlier experinces;

I will reach Suez before Brits realize they are getting killed.
I will take Iraq and secure some oil.
I will reach, uhm, Ethiopia from North Africa, and start a war of wins and loses.
While these rage on, I will start an invasion of Turkey, and get Baku, to 'help' my German comrades.

Don't get me wrong, I am just guessing. Didn't play it yet after the last update.

Oh, and the reason I didn't make Balbo leader; He wanted to be allied with Brits and French, not Germans. Wouldn't be that much of fun.

Well if you would have been allied with the allies I think Italie would have gotten away with taking Ethiopia, albania, Yugoslavian coastline and greece. That would ahve been a strange outcome indeed.

Meanwhile, Italy's first Light Carriers are built. They were sent to Tobruk, assigned to Vice Admiral Iachino's fleet.



Disturbing news are received... British battleships passing through Suez? For a simple patrol or something more?





Things get dirtier when Italy's own seas are violated.

To take a look at Egypt and Greece, Regia Marina sends 2nd Submarine Squadron.. These submarines are pretty useless, and that's the reason they are sent.. They are expendable.









They encounter the British again. They are ordered to stay there and watch. Avoiding direct contact is prioritized.



After the number of British ships became clear, 2nd Submarine Squadron would be ordered to continue it's mission.



British ships were last spotted while going back to.. India? Perhaps, Japan's bellirgent actions were the reason of this.



Meanwhile, 2nd SS Squadron reached shores of Egypt. British presence in the area was quite few.. Marshal Balbo's troops could easily deal with these scattered militias.



Greece was better defended on land, but they had no defence on sea. Also, position of some Greek divisions meant cutting them off from rest of the country would be easy. 2nd SS Squadron would return to Tobruk, after their job had been done. Regia Marina's next target was India..

I trust RM Littorio, which will arrive in the next update, more then I trust those little Light Carriers. They will become useless soon, but when they become obsolote, I will be building real carriers.

I have very high hopes about RM Littorio. Dunno, I just love Battleships more then I love any other unit in the game.

As the Indian Expedition starts, more technological advancements are made in Italy.





While docking at Massaua, 1st Submarine Squadron encounters some British ships. Modern submarines easily avoid contact.

"Was it required?" Mussolini's voice echoed through the halls of the Palace. Man on the phone muttered something about 'will of his people' a silly German accent.

Mussolini sighed. More trials awaited him. "It will take some time before I perusade them about Germany's good intentions about Italy. Your actions obviously anger my Blackshirts."

Man on the phone spoke again with his silly accent. Mussolini nodded. "You are walking in a dangereous path, Adolf. You must be cautious." He nodded again, then closed the phone.

We didn't see Mussolini for some time. Thought he was required. I first thought of him yelling at Hitler, "Why did you do it?!".. But that didn't seem very realistic, counting the fact Hitler controls Germany, a country much more stronger then Italy. Mussolini is a politican, after all.

Oh, and I hope SIM was actually Italy's Intelligence Agency in those years. Wikipedia states it was, between the years of 1900-1949.
