We all know about the "Sons of Lodbrok" event that rarely triggers. Why not allow that to trigger for other people. Say your ruler is captured in combat, and then executed. His living heirs (sons, grandsons, whoever) should have lifetime Causus Belli against the ruler who executed him as a "Vengeance War". This would allow capture of territory, capture and execution of the ruler who did the executing, etc.
