Hi Folks,

So I've had this game on the "backburner" and not been keeping up with the latest news. I got the Kickerstarter notification today and a bit surprised at HBS for not jumping into the 4th War (maybe BT 2?), oh well "c'est la vie".

A quick search of the forums shows 1.9 will be getting some new vehicles, has there been any mention of HBS fixing any of the vehicle bugs? Or adding vehs with different movement types; hover/VTOL? (I know VTOL seems like a stretch)

I have a hundred plus vehicles modded in that could benefit from fixing the turret-less vehicle/firing arcs/crits issues. Thanks in advance!

They've said escort missions are fixed in 1.9.
If somehow a vehicle does still get stuck, wiping out the OPFOR will give us the win.
That and Vehicles will be able to pass through friendly Mechs, though not stop in the same “pip.”

HBS has also combined the best of the short-range and long-range Pathing Algorithms. Each was developed and matched with other algorithms along the way, but with the newest being the refined Short-Range, it has had remarkable synergy with an older though still superior long-range AI Pathing algorithm.

All of this should combine to largely resolve many (but not all) Convoy AI challenges.

No game is “Bug Free” but HBS’s due diligence with regard to the Convoy AI is remarkable against a genuine BEAST of a problem set. To me Update 1.9 will serve as a hallmark of HBS dedication to game development. :bow:

I don't know if the issues with vehicle turrets have been fixed or if they will be fixed in 1.9. I haven't seen those issues mentioned with regards to the new patch. They are a bit annoying, but not game breaking.

A workaround turret hits being ignore on turret-less vehicles would be to actually give all of them turret armor and structure equal to what they have on the rear armor. At least then they wouldn't have infinite health.
