Apologies if this has been already discussed

I started a new game with patch 1.7 as my other saves were acting strange.

But i have vassals declaring war on each other with high kingdom power, my new king is William the conquerors grandson, King Raymond :) I managed to beat off the usual rebellions after succesion but then the beggars began squabbling amongst themselves fighting for claims to former lands id removed from them after there revolts, fighting against the new counts and dukes id installed.

the update to 1.7 was applied last night and the game is still behaving this way.

Have I got to scrap this game ? and start again or have thay altered what the crown laws do ?

And it is Vassals declaring war on each other that im perplexed about !

Please read what I wrote more carefully :)

My vassals are fighting amongst themselves even though ive got high kingdom authority, this is after they failed to succeed in revolting after succession.

I went to high kingdom power with my first king William, and everythingh seemed fine until he died and Raymond his grandson took over, there were several revolts which were all put down and i removed some titles and dished back out to new vassals.

The old Vassals are fighting the new to recover there lost lands ! as well as some new ones just greedily eyeing up other counties they would like.

Should this be happening with high Kingdom authority ?

Has patch 1.7 broken this ?

Also, vassals will still be able to start wars with other vassals through plots, just not because of claims. This means that if they have a plot to acquire a county or duchy and set it in motion, then the resulting war is exempt from the crown authority laws as it gets started automatically after the target refuses to submit to the demands.

EDIT: In response to your last post, are you absolutely sure that the vassals you are talking about come under your high crown authority and aren't under the crown authority of another kingdom?

Yes the law was set under kingdom of England and its the English Vassals that are fighting each other.

I have duchy of rouen and brittany also, no fights there but i dont get to make french law but do have the option to nominate next king of france. both counties are showing as part of kingdom of England also.

I could understand plots and whatnot but this has all happened way too fast for plots , as i stated after id put down the revolts i made many new vassals and reduced holding of those who had rebelled.

It seems as though the crown authority is broken with the 1.7 patch to me and its update seems to made no difference.

I might have to go back to a older version if this does not get fixed.
