Can someone verify this to be the way it works when you raise vassal levies:

Assume every castle has 1000 levies, and you're mystically entitled to a flat 50% of your vassals' levies. That's the min and max. Now, your Duke obviously owes you 500 levies. If there's a Count under him, does the 50% of the Duke's levies mean you're entitled to 50% of whatever the Duke can raise from that count? Assuming the same rate, am I getting 250 troops from that Count's castle, and 125 from any Barons under him? 500 from every holding regardless of government layers between us? Or zero troops from my Duke's vassals?

No, a vassal will provide the same amount of levies to you irregardless of whether he is your direct vassal or an indirect vassal. The amount of levies that a vassal of a direct vassal provide is dependent on the laws and opinion of the direct vasal.

Examples:
If you transfer a feudal count to a feudal duke then the total number of levies you can raise will not change (ignoring differences in opinion ofcourse)

If on the other hand you transfer a mayor or bishop vassal to a feudal lord then the total number of levies you can raise will increase as the laws of the feudal lord will be used to determine the number of levies that will be provided.

So wait, even though Mr. Feudal Lord is only entitled to say 20% of his mayor vassal's troops due to laws/etc if I'm entitled to 50% of Mr. Feudal Lord's troops, I'm also entitled to 50% of Mr. Mayor's troops even if I would only be entitled to 40% of Mr. Mayor's troops if he were my direct vassal? o_O
