When you are negotioating peace with a country in EU IV and want to release some nations out of the grip of your enemy, why is it that you can't choose which provinces they get?

One example, you are the Emperor of the HRE and after a fight with some Prince who thought he could play in your league your decide to split him up.

NOW over the recent years cores have changed alot in your HRE, Münster has cores in Brunswick, Cologne fully annexed Münster, Nuernberg beaten a chunk out of Bavaria, The Hansa 'freed' various minors out of the grip of evil monarchs, a little Pet-Dane conquered Swe.. a wait, too far north AND not realistically, right?

But back to my point.

You as the Emperor want to bring some order back into your HRE, but the moment you want to free everything some princes get totally messed up. Münster will recieve provinces Brunswick had cores on and maybe even more.

Why is there no ability for us to choose which provinces a released nation will get?
Give us the option to free provinces, not a nation as a whole? (With all it's cores)
So we could've the ability to choose that Brunswick may get their three provinces back, Münster their two?

This could lead to problems with the AI, but then give this option a standard outcome it would lead to, if not changed by a human player. Like the usal way it worked, the one you hit first will get the contested territory.

This could also apply to releasing nations yourself (selected from their cores so as to prevent an exploit).

Would really love this, both in a peace deal and as releasing my own vassals, especially when I have to conquer provinces I do not want/need, just to get a capital. It'd be nice to be able to release jst two provinces, instead all the core ones, instead of making an ahistorical client state or selling them to the enemy.

Though I believe the new patch will take care of the capital not being conquerable, still t'd be a nice feature.

Great idea, however this would force diplo bonuses from releasing a nation to be scalable (maybe by how big % of vasal's ethnic base tax are you releasing)

I agree on that one, yep.

This could even lead to a point were one nation might not be to fond of the idea of not getting all parts of their Kingdom or Duchy back, while the other one gets that part. Just thinking.
