Vassals in Federations

I don't now if pox talked about it since I can't find any information on it but here are my questions:

1. can I form or join a federation while having vassals?

2. can the leader of the federation use my vassal's technology?

3. can I take my vassal's Pops and move it around my empire?

4. can I force change the ethic's of my vassals?

5. can I still get vassals while in federation? or will there be an option to force someone into the federation?

I have more questions, but I think they are better saved for another time.

I think you'll have to wait for a vassal oriented Dev Diary. Or the Blorg making friends and not immediately giving them a hug.

That extremely unlikely considering what a federation is. Of course, I guess there is always the possibility of helping rebel put in place a government that would be more willing to join your federation.

We don't know about #1 and #5 (I don't see why not) but for the others:

2. Almost certainly not. We can't even trade techs in Stellaris (for good reason).
3 and 4. Almost certainly not. The whole point of being a vassal is to maintain internal autonomy.
