I'm playing England and Scotland is my vassal. Stability is at 0 and tax income is 16.7 (effective) per month. Now I free Scotland and after that the tax remains unchanged. (Of course I waited one month ...)

I double checked it but I can't find any extra income from having a vassal though I should get half of its monthly taxes, right? But there is no change in my finances between having Scotland as vassal and having no vassal.

Now please tell me - where is this "half monthly tax" I should get from Scotland?

What is the ledger? The "Financial Summary"? Doesn't show income from vassals.

And if there is any income - how can it be that my income doesn't change when I release the vassal? I tried making another vassal - same effect. Not a single penny of extra income ...

The ledger is the red book. There you can check your "income breakdown". And there you'll find the sum that you get from your vassals per year.

I have tested the vassal-income myself, just a few days ago. I wanted to know, if you also get half of the trade taxes (you don't). It is exactly the "modified base tax" that will contribute to your income.

Thank you, Stoertebecker

OK. Thank you. One should have told me that you can access those views only by right clicking the ledger ... Now I found it.

It's not so much income from Scotland but there is income. And now - waiting a little more - I found that the tax income in the financial summary DOES change with vassals come and go.

This issue is resolved then :).

Scotland is pretty poor in the EU2 time period (i.e. before they invented deep-fried Mars bars and pizza), so you don't get alot of income from them as a vassal

It's quite much compared to the tax Eire generates ... never noticed that there IS income, but it's not easy to see that <12 income on a monthly basis.
