I followed the standard procedure for vassalizing a holy order shortly after the 1090ish or so crusade for Jerusalem was won and my vassals in Jerusalem started handing titles out to the new Knights Hospitaller. So after inviting a claimant and giving him a barony I pressed his claim for the Holy Order. So now the Holy Order is based out of Agen and I get the occasional spam from him about wanting control of the county and that's all to be expected, though unexpectedly the two baronies that had originally been controlled by the Knights Hospitaller are still held by the deposed grandmaster who is now a vassal of the new one (they used to go independent, as far as I remember). Anyway, fast forward 60 or some odd years after a few grandmasters have come and gone and for some reason not only has the Knights Hospitaller lost their personally held holding in Agen (it's held by a claimant of the Knights Hospitaller, who looks to be a son of the guy I pressed the claim for), but their two other vassal baronies in Jerusalem are now my vassals. The allegiance of the Knights Hospitaller hasn't changed, they're still my vassals, but they're now unlanded and their former vassals have switched to me. This works out great for me, but I've never seen this happen before.
My only thought is that for some reason, the barony title was being inherited separately from the Holy Order's title seems to mirror the behavior of how elective succession works. I'm not sure if this is intended or not, and I don't think it has any really harmful gameplay repercussions, but the behavior just seems a little weird.
