I don't know if that has happened to you, but sometimes one of my manufacturies vanishes without a single explanation (no earthquake or fire or anything) and I have to build it up again. What happened?

Allegedly, if a province containing a manufactory gets looted (by enemy troops, rebels, or by your own army trying to re-take it) the manufactory gets torched. This has never happened to me yet, but maybe I've just been lucky.

Well you fine fellows obviously need some one of my great military achievements to comment on this.If your province containing a manufactory gets looted then the SOB's will burn down your manufactory.I have witnessed this traumatic event a number of times. They're not dissapearing they are blowing up!:(

There is no such place. If a fire can break out in the Yukon during the winter....it will.

It's happened to me a couple of times, only when a proper non-rebel enemy seiged the province for a long time, but that may just be my luck. If it happened with rebels, I would throw all my toys out of my pram and stamp and scream.

Random events off won't stop enemy forces from besieging your provinces: ergo, pick provinces that aren't likely to fall under siege.

There isn't anything you can do to protect them against random events, since such events are ... well ... random.

Well, it sudks: You pay 1200 to build a manufactory and then someone burns it down in a minute with almost no effort.

I had that very often, too. Your province needn't be seiged, just looted.
Is it right that a weapons manufactory has a higher chance of being destroyed?

Who'd want to build one anyway? Breweries and trade, that's where the money is. :)

Oh, when you have some iron provinces left and want to make the map look a little bit more interesting...:D
