So now I've tried the expansion VV for a while, and I must say I'm a bit confused.
First, it looked good with senate and all, but granting titles and moving around people in the administration just to get generals gets boring and repetitive very very fast. There should be some kind of automatization for this stuff.
Secondly, colonization seems impossible. Playing as Rome, I can't even get Bononia or Liguria colonized. I could put small units there and leave them for 10 years without any possibility to fight barbarians to be able to expand. Where is the possibility to attack them with my own units? Shouldn't be that difficult to fix with modding, but I can't find the files to change the colonization requisites.
So, my conclusion is that Rome was a playable game, and that VV is not.
