Hello, i've bought Rome some time ago and in my library i have Rome - Gold Edition and Rome - Vae Victis. I was wandering, what's the differance beetwen the two? On the first and secound glance they looks like exactly the same game. Menu, music, gameplay, events. I haven't gotten far into their campaigns, but both looks identical. Am i the only one who is confused?
 
Gold Edition should be the base game + Vae Victis which should be exactly the same as just Vae Victis given that Vae Victis need the base game to run.
 
Sorry for bumping this, but has anyone confirmed that both items in the steam library are really the same thing?

It would make no sense to be any different but a confirmation would be nice.

I'm checking Steam right now, it appears only Gold Edition is available for purchase. Searching "Vae Victis" yields only Gold Edition in the Paradox store.
 
i myself just got the game on steam and have 2 entries in steam like other people. when i install and load up the gold edition the in game title screen says Vae Vicitis so it looks like its all in the gold edition and dont need to install the other Vae Vicitis version
