Vae Victis is not installed

Hello,

Updated my EU: Rome VV with 2.2. Unfortunately I ran the patch with the launcher window still open and received error messages that I could not replace Rome.exe. I pressed the Ignore button and the installation was completed.

However, it seems that it wasn't fully installed as I am still at v.2.1.

And when I try to run the 2.2 installer again, I get the error message:

"... Vae Victis is not installed".

How can I get my EU:Rome VV 2.2 working?

You need to close the launcher, as it needs to be updated as well, guess you knew that from reading the post.

You might however be OK if you edit the registry. Go here:

- Post 23 shows exactly what you need to change.

This was written for the first patch, but might also work for what you described. Good luck.

Hi there,

I did as you said (i.e., actually changed from 2.2 (weird!) to 2.1) in the registry and this time made sure that the launcher was closed. Thereafter, I installed the 2.2 patch again and now it seems to work!
