Well all the tedious micromanagement things are nearly automated. It's just a matter of making sure you don't invite entire sieges into our fort (which I nearly did lol)

I would ask the same, but I don't think I was ever dwarfed to begin with. But I kindly ask the next player to see to that.
Preferably as someone rather likely to die horribly.

so... when I eventually get the Fortress back for another turn... should I work on expanding the Glass/Obsidian fortress, or on a weaponized mega-project (Squirt Gun, Magma Fountain, Orbital Defense System, or whatever)?

If we make a Squirt Gun, I'd like to mould the Fortress around it, yes. That would give our Dwarves good seats for watching the carnage, too.
