You don't have to buy the game if its not good. Victoria 2 will welcome you with open arms when the Victoria 3 launch is inevitably a buggy mess

Well, after waiting a decade for an announcement, it wouldn't hurt anyone to wait a day after release to look at the reaction, or would it?

it will be a mess... it will be a disappontment... but damn, I'would preorder the whole "shutupandtakemymoney" edition with season pass, stupid gadgets and wathever they put on it.

Fortunately it will not be and tonight we'll get Europa Universalis 5 announed and I can move on with my life (for another year)

I won't be able to buy and play it anyway until after the release of Victoria 4, after which the old game, Victoria 3, will go on sale through distributors other than Steam. For me, there's little "excitement" involved, more like idle curiosity.

“There’s a time for partridge and a time for fasting.”

And - may I add - It's foolish to fast on a day of partridge. If you can't handle it to carry and move on, please don't think we are. Many Victoria-fans are quite well informed about the situation, and I'm still sceptical what the result will be. However, like I said: today is a time for partridge, even if it may be over tomorrow. We can be negative afterwards - when we know a little bit more than ... let's say nothing.
