+1 for that, but it´s a mess that people always thing that national nsocialism equals fascism and communism equals socialism, because thats simply not true in both cases.
which one of the rebel flags do you think is the best I stick with the basic one because it´s unique
I am very very tempted to just cancel my amazon pre-order and pay the extra £10 to get the Gamersgate version so I can get these shiny avatars.

I loathe wiki with a passion, but the Australian Federation Flag without a Union Jack would make an OK republic flag. I'm a fond supporter of the Eureka flag, so I'd like to have seen it as the regular republic flag, but I understand the fascist use too.
The Australiana on the commie flag makes it fun - I can completely imagine that being the flag of a "mates' paradise".
Some countries (France, Spain and Germany) have special rules scripted in to allow them to bend the rules a little bit with regards to the flag they use. A constitutional monarchy Germany will, for example, use the black-red-gold flag rather than the imperial German flag flown by an absolute monarchy or a prussian constitution monarchy. Likewise a French constitutional monarchy will use the French republican tricolor, while an absolute monarchy France will use the Fleur-de-lis. In the case of Spain an HMS government will use the standard Spanish flag, while an Absolute Monarchy will use the Cross of Burgundy.
And then you get the people who think all of the above are interchangeable, and all are promoted by the evil progressives.

That's not making it any easier
Socialism often does equal Communism, since Socialism has always been used as a method of transitioning to Communism. Unfortunately they never succeeded in establishing a Communist paradise.
What you're probably thinking of is Social Democracy, which too many people tend to confuse with Socialism. Here in Britain it seems the requirements for being a Socialist are just...not being a conservative. 
What country was Pink flag with a tiger head that one of the devs posted here with?
The first is the base a few of the Czechoslovak/Bohemian flags, and the second is the Bohemian republican flag. I wonder whether this was intentional? It seems more like an oversight.

Just view the image properties, it will tell you the tag and government form.

I have to agree with King here - the work required to sift through user-generated flags just to please players with better flags is simply not worth it.
Would you rather the time be spent sifting through user-generated flags...
...or fixing bugs, adding new features, and working on expansions/new games?
Not a hard choice. And even if a popular fan pack exists, for Paradox to included, they have to research each flag to make sure it doesn't violate a law in an important market (as King noted when he talked about being hauled to court in Germany).
