v1.7.2 Robots/droids cannot upgrade after synthetic ascension

What the title says. There's no way to get rid of them and they clog up your tiles.

Hi @Mouthwash thanks for the report. For your save, I found a few droids in your sectors, they turned into synthetics at the beginning of the next month, as they should. Or did you mean something else?

No, that's exactly what I meant. I tried again and they are definitely not changing for me no matter how many months I wait. Perhaps it's because all synthetics are now classified as my ascended race? I haven't seen any robots, now that I think about it.

(Forgot to mention: I played this game with a UI overhaul mod, but I doubt it's responsible - removing it doesn't fix the issue.)

i have seen similar thing. after my race ascended to synthetics, whenever i acquire droids via conquest, they stay what they were. i have cumulated 15 droid pops already.

1.6.1, no mods, all DLCs. picture made now, opening it in 1.7.2
