[v1.0] [Linux] Constant freezing making game unplayable

What gfx drivers are you using? Would appreciate the other logs even that no crash happened. (/home/<user>/.local/share/Paradox Interactive/Hearts of Iron IV/logs or similar should be the default path)

I'm using NVIDIA 367.12. I made a few changes to my steam installation.
(rm ~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/i386/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libfontconfig.so.1
ln -s /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libfontconfig.so.1 ~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/i386/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libfontconfig.so.1)
turned off the steam overlay and as of now it seems to be working fine. (with and without swap)

The logs for the previous (unsuccessful) attempt are attached to this post.

A bit curious, was it the overlay or the fonconfig.so or the combination of them?

Just turned on the steam overlay and it's working fine. Seems it was fontconfig.

Steam works in unforeseen ways, if you have future problems just check if the problem is still there if you run the app outside steam and include that info in the report as well. (steam is changing session defines ex LD_LIBRARY_PATH )
Report everything! we want a nice posix environment for our games!
