My leadership are all dying of old age and I don't make much influence so I can only afford new scientists every couple of years. I am on the research path to harvest wildlife. After a few animals I noticed my scientist was stuck on 0% on an anomaly. I used a new scientists on a new ship and it managed to research. I moved the original ship to another anomaly, but seeing as I have few scientists I had to place that scientist researching a tech. The empty ship went and started researching an anomaly which I know shouldn't be possible. It would research for 1% of the anomaly and then start orders to move where it already was, then start researching again for 1% etc. I put on the new scientists and it did the same thing. It's possible it started with the original scientist on the first anomaly dying of old age.

I'm experiencing the same issue (science ship starting & stopping research project continuously) with the same project, "Hallucinogen Removal". Didn't have anything to do with scientists dying for me :) Save file attached.
