Yeah, I completely understand what you're saying, but from a gameplay perspective... ?
From a game-play perspective...

... it had about as much chance of successfully being build during WW-II as a Death-Ray did.

If it was introduced into the game, then the above-mentioned fixed-asset STRAT method should work. I expect that it would require an .exe change to impliment, though... since the attack method does not resemble that of any current in-game asset.

What's the closest you can suggest? (I couldn't, and wouldn't, modify the .exe)

How do V-2s work in-game? I just presumed a similar system could be used. Build the gun array (the same as one would a V-2 launch pad), and pay for each volley of shells in the same manner one would a V-2 or whatever. Semantics. Is this not possible?

EDIT: I put an edit on my last post for you, btw. :)

Modified V-2s are about as close as you could get without an .exe change. Leave an un-used model after the last existing one, and add the gun on top of that.

Eg: if V-1 were model-0, V-2 were model-1, V-3 were model-2, SRBM were model-3 and ICBM were model-4... then leave model-5 empty and add this gun as model-6

I think I see where you're going with this. I'll see what I can do, anyway. :)

Yes, the .exe rewrite would be ideal... Not that I'll be doing it!

I was thinking more of a firing rocket site kind of thingy. Something you build (when you have the tech), like a nuclear reactor, rocket site, port, airbase, etc. Something that appears in the province info box... A late tech indeed like Emu suggest - something to look forward in '46-'48!

Or perhaps it could be just another unit... Land-based, moving extremely slowly - then we're back to Bertha level 3!

IIRC, is it in HOI1 that V1 site were fixed (static), or some sort of restrictions on them? (Ah! HOI1 - and the 1-click full reinforcement option!)

Anyway thanks I did not know about that!

Way too little impact on the war. Railway guns seem missing a bit more IMO.

Unless you do want to build the thing on the map the easiest would be to make an event for Germany that costs some resources and then triggers an event for the UK that reduces Londons IC by 1 (or whatever). I am unaware of a trigger that counts the province improvements, if such a thing exists it could of course be used (and leave the UK with the ability to bomb it).

Like railroad and other siege guns I think it would be easiest and best be represented by events. Just have some events which costs supplies and perhaps others stuff to reduce IC/fort/coastal defence/whatever in desired province. This is for example how siege of Sevastopol is represented in TRP and it works nicely.

Even someone decided to make V-3, how the heck would he apply it to the game? Artillery brigade? Rocket?

Why would you guys even wan't this as Germany? It's not like you have borders to defend, but to attack.

The V-3 was a defensive weapon.

I saw part if it in Belgium, pretty sweet looking, but they wen't into detail about it, and pretty much told how the thing was crap.

I think if superhaevy tank is implemented in game, than"exotic"artillery could have the same reason to exist in game.Of course as blue emu stated, not experimental weapons that proposed dubious theorethical concepts and actualy never sough action, like one that is proposed in topic post, but real ones that existed.

Those should be superhaevy artillery systems of which fiew were used (mainly by Germans).
Those were weapons for defence and for cracking "hot spots" becouse war was not allways so mobile(for instance german seages of Odessa and Sevastopol in USSR).Allso Germans used such guns to break morale of Allies in Italy(Anzio).

It will be nice to have brigade called"supehaevy artillery".This brigade should be atachable to infantery division and garrison.Should give great punch to division. But such brigade should allso denie movement of division when atached to it, except by strategic deployment.

try mod34 there you've got light artillery brigades (75mm-152mm) and heavy artillery brigade (149mm-350mm) i never tryed those heavy ones, so i don't know how useful they are

Even if it did work and was implemented to a larger scale it doesn't look like it could do much damage, and targeting would be nearly impractical, plus it would have been found and destroyed (can't be moved).
