After I started the Modification my primary species special project, I also colonized with said species. The pops on the new worlds didn't get genetically modified, so now only a few pops belong to my founder species, while all my genetically modified pops are handled in my empire as xenos.

I have the Creatures of Void DLC, I don't use any mods.

The problem has been fixed by modifying my new pops with the exact same parameters. Still, I think it would be better, if the colonies which I found while working on the modify species special project, would already have modified pops.

Let's correct my previous statement - the problem has been solved in my case, because I allow now xeno leadership. The modified pops are still handled as xeno, and I don't have founder species currently, since there are no more pops from the unmodified version of my species. Had I played a xenophobic empire, I would be in trouble.
