I haven't played Stellaris since it came out, so I don't know if this came with the patch or not, but you can get infinite rewards from projects in the situation log that require science ship to finish.
Have the science ship research the project, cancel it from the situation log and wait a day, and I get the reward instantly + able to repeat it again.
