Usurping Titles

I am unable to usurp the title of a rival emir. I own three of the four territories need to usurp it. But it keeps saying I need a strong claim to usurp it.

I married to a woman with a strong claim to the title. But I can seem to press her claim in war.

Because you are in the same realm. The tooltip in your screenshot tells you this.

As the tooltip says, you must personally have a strong claim in order to usurp titles within the same realm. Having a wife with a strong claim is not sufficient.

Oh...when the hell did that change...not a complaint but shit...it makes being a dick to my fellow muslims much much harder...may need to convert...
