USSR isn't only choice! - SDPPSR of Galicia AAR

My speech on national radio said:
I am appalled at the ease to which Tomachevski and his cabinet is treating possible collaboration with fascist regimes. Also the superficial way in which the Romanian situation was treated was embarrassing for Galicia, as the real ethnic situation wasn't taken into account and we are now considered an imperialistic aggressor by the international community. We don't even have a clear situation regarding our political system. We were heading towards a socialist, Central Comity of the Communist Party becomes the Parliament system, but in a sudden twist, that resulted in reprisals, which were probably designed to scare the population into submission, the decision is reverted. This is unacceptable! As long as Tomachevski and his acolytes are in power, I will automatically refuse any appointment as minister. I will continue to work on troop tactics and be a field commander for as long as I am needed.

I'm beginning to lose interest in this AAR, and at first I was thinking it was a more serious, Cantonia-like AAR, so I'll ask you to not appoint me minister of security from now on, as I won't be visiting that often.
 
(Note : "Reno" is pronounced as /rje no/ or /re no/, unlike the town name. /ɺe no/ is fine too.)

However, if our brothers and sisters in Preszów are in danger, Reno suggests that our government should ask Slovakian or whoever own the region to open the border and let them come to Galicia.

It also means a lot of facilities are needed to move to there, and it will spend a lot of money and manpower. As Kraków, our current capital, is quite suitable for the job as the brain of Galicia, Reno does not see any reason to spend that many resources to move the capital to Lwów.

Crush3r: It seems that every AAR were I do something in democracy, people *hates* me, in Cantonia I resigned and now it looks that I'm also going to resign :( But it looks that people don't want that we join to alliance with Slovakia and Hungary, so that will be also my opinion. No alliances with fascists!

Well, you cannot please everyone, can you? As I see now, most of us still support you, and as long as your decision do not mess up Galicia, I think you will still have the support from the majority. ;)
 
Actually i'm migrating to Sweden, I have a great business idea: cheap furniture :D
My plane departs in 1/2 h.

Agreed with that, but I'm not expecting much realism any more, I'm just letting it go in whatever direction. Plus, let's be honest, if it went completely realistic the game would be booooring.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so as AAR. :D
Frankly, I think as long as the act is not too illogical (like what Italy did earlier), fun is somehow more important.

I am getting a bit off-topic :eek:o
Though, people cannot be purged in a democratic state.
 
Ok, here it comes. Thanks for all your comments, even for Crush3r comments ;)

The Balkan Crisis

Slovakian independence declaration was followed by independence declaration of Karpathian-Ukraine republic, however, Hungarians soon crushed that short-lived state. Ruthenians of Karpatho-Ukraine were threaten and Galician military and political council accepted to annex Presov region into Galician mainland.



But as it's possible, Czechoslovakian government wasn't very happy to see how half of it's territory becomes part of foreign powers. Edouard Benes gave a speech, where he declared, that Czechoslovakia NEVER surrender and it will be endless fighting against the agressors, who have attacked against their government! That led to total war between Czechoslovakia and loose alliance between Hungary, Galicia and new Leninist government of Slovakia.



But huge amounts of many kind of political pacts quickly leaded huge crisis in Balkan. Austria declared war against Czech republic, and Poland, which had guaranteed Czechs declared immediately war against Austria. United Kingdom protected Austria and whole Allies were now at war against Poland. Then Hitler protected their traditional German ally, Austria and allied with Austria. Till December 24, the ''Bloody Christmast'', Poland-Czechoslovakia pact was now at war with almost all Europe. From major powers only USSR was neutral.

Also new tank prototypes were ready.



Galician army was now more ready to fight than never before. And there was also war in line of sight. Germany quickly advanced towards Warsaw and if they took Warsaw, whole Poland would be Galicia. And that meant that Polish Ruthenians were going to under of German power.

Do we protect Polish Ruthenians and declare war against Poland (only to protect those Ruthenians)?

** +1 interventionism
** Kielce, Lublin, Brest Litovsk, Rowne and Pinsk become our national provinces
* NO
** -1 interventionism

Another vote also: do we join to some alliance or form own alliance?

* Join Axis
* Join Allies
* Join Comintern
* Form alliance with Romania and Leninist Slovakia


Long Live Socialist Democratic Parliamentary People's Soviet Republic of Galicia!
 
I´ll vote for YES and we should join the comintern (because of the big soviet army army, and of course the hard time we would have when germany starts barbarossa^^ :D )

IIRC Erkki1 is the leader of the Roemanian puppet, and he means that in that position he has nothing to say about your eh.. our policy.

Oké now about the vote:
Do not join a major alliance unless you have to.
And free our Polish brothers! (= declare war on Poland)

We should never join that fascist scum that call themselves "the Axis". Also we shouldn't join the Comintern, because they will take us our democratic socialism. But we shouldn't also join the allies, because we shouldn't go into a war with Nazi Germany. The best thing we can do is, to create an own alliance. We can create a powerful block of democratic socialism in Europe. Then we still can decide, to step in the war.

To Poland: I don't think that we should attack Poland, if they are attacked by Germany. If we do, we could be the target of a german attack, because we took their so called "vital space". No, we should stay out of the war.
 
Join Allies and Dow Poland.
 
Me as a Polish person, would probably go something that involves protecting Poland and making it your buddy ^^ Besides you got Krakow so you should have some feelings for them, right?
Go for the allies for a little while and after that make a democractic votes against going out of the allies and attacking them. that would be evil ;)
