As minister of Foreign Affairs, I officially give my vote to build the railroad. Our embassy in Bucarest is informing us of rising discontent from the Romanian government towards us, due to their claims over Iasi and Beltsy: in case of conflict with Romania, we will have better infrastructures...Don't fear to appear as a hawk, mister President: there is evidence that the Iron Guard Party, this bunch of fascists, financed the uprising in Iasi...

Uhm, mister Pickle, we don't have the actual city of Iasi within our borders:

EDIT: 2 And if we have Bukovina, we don't have neither Bălţi nor Iaşi, but Suceava (Suczawa) or Cernăuţi (Czernowitz) would be one of the railroad's ends.

It's the damn HoI2 province system.

I think for both RP and game purposes it would be best to build the railroad.

Hmmmmmmm...*feels uncomfortable* Comisarul Moldavan, please, could you take care of my official map reader?

Sure. The situation is the following:
The Iron Guard, detecting the agitation that our beloved country experienced in the more conservative (yuck) north, has sent their paramilitary green shirts disguised as tourists to Suczawa (In Iasi N Iasi province), and agitated spirits to the point that punks wanting a good street fight took to the streets. Then some more green shirts arrived to secure an armed resistance. This threatened to spread to Czernowitz (extreme W Beltsy province), if there weren't troops present there. Many have probably escaped back to Romania, where there is no interest to take any action against this provocation. This could also provide a cassus beli later on.

There are various notorious organized crime syndicates, that were hoping to profit from the situation by arming the rebels. We should crackdown on them immediately (maybe event reduces dissent -2, -50 money, +150 supplies from stashes).

......although the civil war was ended, the turmoil during this month spoiled many people's life and homes, as well as many industries. As the mother and father of our people, the government should provide them a home and a job to make a living. Also, since most parts of the transportation network of Galicia is unimproved, material and supply transport will be hard especially during the state of war. Fortunately, Reno found out a solution for both problem : a railroad which connects the west and the east of Galicia. Not only this will employ many unemployed people, the railroad can provide a faster and more convenient transport for Galicia as well......
(Reno only know Mandarin, Polish, English and German.)

:D I think that railroad will be builded! Tomorrow I'll update this. Thanks for all comments.

Reno Vercetti: That's bad thing! Galician official language is Ruthen ;)
Crush3r: Yep, that's true. But since HoI uses ''damned province system'', it will be Iasi :p

Ruthenian? I didnt even know that the language still existed.

As a vaguely important person in the military who goes by the motto of 'Hurry the hell up, you stupid lardass!' , I, comrade DKGin, vote in favor. It will cost us a bit, but it will help us move our troops more quickly to the edges of our nation. That, and it creates jobs in construction, leaving the people with less time and reason to rebel.

Nah, it is impossible to learn a language which is extinct. :(
Frankly, what do we speak in Galicia? :eek:o
(I think mostly Polish, that's why Reno learn it after he came to Galicia.)

(comes out of his gigantic galicia intelligence agency building(or GIA) )

as prince of terror, we have to stop to discuss unimportant things!

We should declare war... eh i mean improve diplomatic relations with other nations (slams his fist into his other hand)

Well, there is a debate on whether Rusyn is a dialect of Ukrainian or a separate language, so i'd say it's Polish, Rusyn/Ukrainian ans official languages.

Now, we'd better have a territorial conflict within the next 4 years, so we can see the army in action.

Hah! Thanks for your great feedback. It's nice to write AAR when know that people likes it!

Crush3r: We will have very much warfare in future, do't worry.
Inner Circle: Maybe it's not better to immediately declare war, since we have only 7 divisions. But I'm building new divisions, including special forces!

Spanish civil war

After civil war Galician economy slowly started to recover. Cracow-Iasi railroad started to build and also army started own projects. First all obsoloted would be updated to modern weaponry. In March 30 of 1936 I. II. and III. Brigades got their new weapons and other equipment. Next month also another divisions got new weapons. Now Galician industry started to build new divisions:

3 mountain infantry divisions with engineer brigades
9 regular infantry divisions with military polices

But growing of Galician power wasn't enough quick to stop great disaster: Italy conquered Abyssinia and formed Colony of Italian East Africa. April 18 Addis Ababa fallen and Italy annexed Abyssinia:

May 24 of 1936 1st Mountain Div. were trained and equipped. It was deployed in Stryj, carpathian mountains near Transylvania. It was named as 1st Special Forces Division and it's leader was mj. general Rcduggan, hero of Galician civil war.

Another thing, which was real big problem for Galician industry, was solved in early summer. Lacking of rubber and other rare materials caused that Galician industry wasn't working, and Britain didn't accept selling those rare materials to Galicia. However Holland accepted that and sold them for energy.

June 3 Comisarul Moldovan developed trench warfare doctrine. New Galicia started to research agricultural technologies:

Then, July 18 hell broke out in Spain...

Maybe we could help Republicans?

It's again voting time:

Send material and volunteers:
* Triggers ''aid from Galicia'' event for Spanish Republic
* -10 manpower
* -1000 supplies
* +5 dissent
* relations with Spanish Republic +20
* relations with Spanish State -20

Why support revistionist rabble?:
* -20 relations with Spanish Republic

Long Live Socialist Democratic Parliamentary People's Soviet Republic of Galicia!

Since the start of 25...... 1936, our socialist brothers in Spain have been striving for social equality. However, controlled by fascists and nationalists, conservatives and soldiers in Spain started rebel against the revolution...... Now, fascists in Europe are sending material and soldiers to Spain to support their kind, and are attempting to spread their ideology to Iberia...... As a socialist, Reno suggests that government and people of Galicia should act against them. Although our ideology and policies might be different, socialists in Galicia, Soviet Union and Spain should be united against fascists. Remember, if we do not help our comrades, there will be no comrades left to help us.
(Reno sometimes misuses the Minguo calendar when speaking, and Minguo 25 equals to 1936.)

my opinion is to send help because we could train some soldiers to elites for future campaigns. As head of Intelligence i could get some information about the equipment which the other nations use in this war...

"I wonder why you're even asking this in the Parliament, Comrade Tomashevky. If we managed to free ourselves from a fascist dictatorship in the revolution, we should not under any circumstances let fascists terrorize other countries. This fascistic revolt should be put down with all we can spare. Not only will we eradicate the fascist plague, if we manage to be victorious, the Spanish Republic will acknowledge what we have done for them.

And furthermore, I suspect other countries will also be sending their volunteers to fight in this war. It would be a good occasion to check on other countries' methods of warfare, which we could learn from. I myself have heard that Germany will be sending a Luftwaffe detachment, if we manage to learn from their methods or steal their aircraft blueprints we could greatly improve our air force.

I am greatly in favor of sending materiel and volunteers to fight for the Republicans. Down with the Fascists!"
