There's recruiting for this AAR, and it's not ended! I want YOU for Galician army (especially air force leader ;))
During recruiting I think I'll write some background.

Chapters of this AAR:

1. Galician Civil War
2. Spanish Civil War
3. Political Crisis
4. Beginning of Romania-Galicia war
5. Operation Poor's heaven
6. End of Galicia-Romania war
7. End of two wars
8. The Balkan Crisis
9. Polish-Galician war
10. Fourth partition of Poland
11. Europe Flames up

History of Galicia

After defeat of Austria-Hungary in WWI, it led to crumbling of the Empire. Austria remained only it's German mainland, and also Hungary lost almost 70 % of it's former territories. Several new nations were formed, and Poland, which was splitted before WWI were re-birthed: Poles got their independence from Russia and from Germany they got back their former areas. There was also negotiations to join the Austrian part of Poland (Galicia-Lodomeria) to Poland, but after fruitless negotiations State of Ruthens, Poles and Lodomerians were formed.

Prince Zdzislaw Lubomirski, later H.R.H. Wladislaw I,
king of Galicia and Lodomeria

New state immediate fell into war against Poland, and Marshal Pilsudski's quick assault into heartland of renamed Kingdom of Galicia-Lodomeria and fell of capital caused breakdown of morale of Galician Royal Army. Only assault of Russian Reds, led by Mikhail Tukhachevsky, saved Galician independence. However, Pilsudski easily defeated weak Bolsheviks and started new assault against Galicia. Now Galician army was ready, and followed six months of bloody battles, finally ended to Galician recapturing Kowel. Then peace negotiations, led by France, borned fruit and peace came, however Galicia lost some areas near Warsaw after French acceptance of checked borders.

Next war of Galicia came against Romania. Since Galicia got Bukovina after WWI, Romania, which saw himself as legal owner of Bukovina, caused diplomatic crisis demanding Bukovina. Galicia refused and followed war of three years. War almost destroyed economies of both Galicia and Romania, and in peace of 1927, new border was frontline of that year — and almost same than border before war.

After the great depression 1928 political crisis followed political crisis and no one government survived more than few months. After army saw their great position, Royal Army made coup d'état and formed militarist government. This government survived longer, but was brutal dictatorship and standard of living went down.

December 1935 People's Revolutionary Party of Galicia started revolution. Soon they captured western and eastern parts of Galicia, however northern and southern parts were in hands of monarchist conservatives. Under former leutenant of Royal Army, novadays Field Marshal of People's Army, Mikhail Tomashevsky, Galician revolutionaries declared new state — Socialist Democratic Parliamentary People's Soviet Republic of Galicia...

People's Revolutionary Government (Social Democrat)

The cabinet of SDPPSRG

and government

Head of State (Mikhail Tomashevsky) leads the state, and the Parliament, voted in democratic elections, take care about government. Head of State (Head of Presidium) is the president and also superior chief of military, but the real military leader is Chief of General Staff (Wilhelm IV). Under his there's People's Army of Galicia (led by Hungarian Lord), People's Fleet (Admiral Yamamot) and People's Air Fleet (Pavel Slonecky).

Under government there's ministry of interior, led by Inner Circle. It takes care about security of nation, police force and public services. Under Ministry of Interior there's also National People's Intelligence, led by Agent 47 (nobody knows his real name). Foreign Ministry (Alojzy Byczewski) tries to keep good relations with other nations (since our interventionism is 10 it seems that it's not very important ;)). Ministry of State Economies controls nationalization of industry, takes care about national factories, infrastructure and military programs and kolhozes.

Motto of nation is: ''Bureucracy is our Honor!''

Can't wait for the first chapter :D

P.S. May I have a look at the industrial status and technologies of our nation? :)

Few answers: we have one bomber wing, 8 infantry divisions, same techs than Poland and our IC is some 20. AAR starts hopefully some day :D

ye gods, you have almost as many AARs as linque! :wacko:

but why is there no army deployed?

Galician Civil War

Admiral Yamamot: You will get first ships when we conquer some naval base...
likk9922: They are our borders, that's it.
Masked Pickle: Accepted
ThePhysicist: You will get it soon, don't worry!

You should to know few things about Galicia:

* It has 150 manpower
* It has 25/22 industry
* It has 4/41 transport capacity
* It has same techs than Poland

Galician Civil War

''Allright, gentlemen'' Mikhail Tomashevsky started with his mighty style, ''I really haven't anything to say to you, since there have been so many recruiting AARs, but every text-based AAR starts with 'Allright Gentlemen', so that's why I said so''. Then he looked his public, all members of cabinet, leaders of major industrial corporations and high ranks military leaders were all in small room in Cracow, capital of Galicia. ''I won't speak very long. You are know what's our objective and what's now going on. Revolution is started and finished succesfully, but it seems that the conservatives and other monarchists aren't going to surrender.'' And then Tomashevsky called head of general staff, Wilhelm IV, into platform.

Wilhelm IV started: ''When we formed Left-Wing revolutionary front, nobody foreseen that major groups of population of Galicia would resist our coup. Under their f***in - oh sorry - king Wladislaw I, those monarchists have started their own revolts, against our government''. And Wilhelm showed report from commander of Lodomerian military district:

''We are peace loving country (with interventionism 10)'' Tomashevsky declared then, ''But it looks, that we need fight anyway. Long Live Galicia!'' Then Wilhelm IV again showed few pictures, the Order of Battle of Galician army.

Almost all divisions were in west, some troops in west, and when revolt happened in central Galicia, it needed quick action by Galician army. Military leaders known that, and after speech of Tomashevsky and Wilhelm IV, almost all of generals gave some kind of a speech. At the end of meeting Galician leaders voted, and almost all of them supported idea to crush the revolt using power. Then they sended letter to Highest military council, who sent letter to Wilhelm IV, who stamped it. Then letter was sent to Ministry for interior, which accepted it and sent it into Ministry of State Economies. In only ten days Galician government had accepted the starting of war.

Immediately (after three days) Reno Vercetti were ordered to produce new machine tools to Galician military, as well as Comisarul Moldovan started to design new tactical and strategical doctrine for Galician army.

Comisarul Moldovan was also made into Interior Minister, because he is Crime Fighter. It was really needed to crush those damned rebels, who indeed were only criminals - and supported by biggest criminal in world, and I don't mean ''journalists'' of Helsingin Sanomat (Helsinki News). I mean UNITED KINGDOM...

Also Galicia started to build some special forces. They would be useful when punishing Balkans!

In late January 1936, Galician army started counterattack against rebels, and had quite good success:

In February the 7 of 1936 revolt was completely crushed. Leaders of revolt were punished (Comisarul Moldovan visited in USSR to find good ways to do it - stupid joke) and new government became more stable. However, new nation had many problems, i.e. over 500 000 people who were unemployed. Quickly nationalisation of industry wasn't enough to employ them all, and then Reno Vercetti had new idea to get job those poor people and same time improve infrastructure.

Now you all who are reading this AAR can vote your own choice. We nevertheless are DEMOCRATIC republic of Galicia.

Build the railroad:
* sliders move one towards planned economy
* -500 money
* -5000 supplies
* In next January infrastructure in Cracow, Przemysl, Stryj and Iasi will be improved +20 (and becomes 100)

Don't build:
* +1 dissent

Long Live Socialist Democratic Parliamentary People's Soviet Republic of Galicia!

I say we must build the railroad if we have the resources. This railroad will also be needed to shuttle troops back and forth.

Yes, build it, we can't drop lower than 0 money/supplies anyway.

And I'm honored to research the first doctrine and become Interior Mionister:D

EDIT 1: I have also talked to people in the Kremlin during my visit to the SU, and it seems they are interested in a world dominated by larger state unins like in this map.
They are thinking that Galicia would be the one leading the creation of the one marked in yellow, so I submit this to our government to analyze the proposal.

EDIT: 2 And if we have Bukovina, we don't have neither Bălţi nor Iaşi, but Suceava (Suczawa) or Cernăuţi (Czernowitz) would be one of the railroad's ends.

"This railroad will lead to even more centralization of our economy. While I prefer the free market to central planning, I do not deny that a system has to be either one or the other, not something in between. If we put this project in motion, we will be able to control the economy more - and we will have to move to total state control. Apart from economic considerations, a better infrastructure has more advantages, like being able to supply our armies more efficiently. I vote in favor of the railroad construction."

-Pavel Slonecky's speech in the cabinet in reaction to Mikhail Tomashevsky

Well, then it should be our highest priority to conquer one, isn't it :D

We have to improve our infrastructure!
There is no other way!

Build it!! :D

As minister of Foreign Affairs, I officially give my vote to build the railroad. Our embassy in Bucarest is informing us of rising discontent from the Romanian government towards us, due to their claims over Iasi and Beltsy: in case of conflict with Romania, we will have better infrastructures...Don't fear to appear as a hawk, mister President: there is evidence that the Iron Guard Party, this bunch of fascists, financed the uprising in Iasi...
