The disaster of the "suspension of banning" is under my responsability. I propose, in the next update, to put my position as Foreign Minister in the hands of our fellow voters...If there is another candidate to the position...But if I'm forced into resignation, the latter will only become effective when dissent will go back to 0, and I will ask for an active part as a commander on the front...

I agree with General Reno on the strategy to follow. Then Constanta and Ploiesti will be taken, then Bucharest and Pitesti will fall.

I found out I was removed from the newspaper! At least you could have sent me a letter... But I know the actual reason why you replaced me is that you need a more brutal MoI for now. Still I hope that the political situation will stabilize and the cabinet make an effective status quo. I will continue to give situation analysis for now.

War Situation Analysis said:
The first move would be to take Brăila. Then push through Ploieşti, Bucureşti, while keeping the bare minimum defenses in Transylvania and Dobrogea, so we can trap divisions to the South of Constanţa city and then swing back to take Cluj and force a peace.

I say, attack Bralia and then Ploesti, it will open road to Bucharest , and if Romanian capital will fall, glorious army of people of Galicia have a great chance of pocketing divisions located in Constanta.

Also I think you can ask fellow communist volunteers from all around the world to form additional units to fight your war against oppresing pig-dog capitalists.

I am in favor of moving our troops out of Brasov and into Braila, they should be able to take the single division there. Meanwhile, we should send the troops in Iasi to Tulcea and attack Constanta from there, putting them in striking range of Bucharest.

Thanks again! I think the Reno Vercetti way to defeat Romanians won to election!

End of Galicia-Romania war

After military council accepted new, large front assault strategy towards Bucharest, Galician army was quickly reinforced. Frontline troops got new assault equipment and Braila Bridgeheads was taken from Romania. In late July 30 of 1937 Galician armies started ''the big push'' to conquer Ploesti and Pitesti and open the gates to Bucharest. However, these new battles were much harder for Galicia, than assaults in early war. Huge and long battles had demoralized Galicia, and they had no more superiority in organization. Ploesti battle was win mostly because Galicia had superiority in numbers.

After capturing Ploesti, Galician army turned to west. Their target was blockade Bucharest and push Romanian army to Transylvania, however, Romanians got some 5 divisions more in Pitesti, and started their own counterattack.

However, Battle for Pitesti have caused, that most Romanian forces no more guaranteed their capital. Only two divisions defended Bucharest, when Galician army started their assault to capture Bucharest. Urban warfare was bloody and long, but in early morning of August 30 Galician troops marched in Bucharest. Romania had now lost most of their industry and lost of capital led to mass surrender of Romanian soldiers.

Again more forces were pocketed, this time in Constanta. Galicians started assault against Constanta pocket from two directions, and without supplies Romanians surrendered. Galicia had took even more prisoners, nearly 20 Romanian divisions were completely captured during Galicia-Romania war.

However, Romanians didn't surrender. They STILL had more divisions than Galicia. Galician offensive to Transylvania failed and Romanian counterattack almost pushed Galicians back from Bucharest. It seemed that only total defeat could make Romania surrender. Luckily Galicia had some good new also: treckaddict armoured inc. finished their research of Early tank. But Romanian counterattack was anyway very powerful: Galicians had in area eight divisions, Romanians at least 10. (How they have so much divisions?) Then field commanders suggested new strategy: maybe it was not important to defeat whole Romanian army... How about taking their new capital, Cluj-Napoca.

Two divisions were transferred from south to north. Romanians started new counterattack in south, and because they now had even more superiority in numbers, they also advanced towards Bucharest. But that was unimportant, since provinces they captured were only wasteland without industry. In september 26 Galicians started their own assault in Transylvania: Battle of Cluj-Napoca took only few hours, and in september 28 it was occupied.

Frontline looked now this:

It's again voting time: what to do since we now can annex Romania..

* Annex Romania

* Install puppet government to Romania
** if you vote this, tell also which provinces should be occupied by Galicia. At least Bessarabia must be annexed to Galician territory, but how about for example north Transylvania?

Long Live Socialist Democratic Parliamentary People's Soviet Republic of Galicia!

Thanks for accepting my suggestion, and I'm glad to hear it working. :D

Reno in the Parliament said:
Finally, the war between Galicia and Romania is over. In Reno's opinion, the best option for our government in the topic of Romania is to reestablish a new socialist government of Romania. I will talk about the reason for this act now.

First of all, the reason we are fighting against Romania, apart from revenge, is to liberate the proletarian and the oppressed in Romania. Now the former government of Romania is dismissed, and our first part of job is completed. Therefore, we should not occupy Romania anymore. However, since the political situation of Romania is still unstable, Galicia should help the new government to rule Romania now.

Second, since the war outbroke, the international society are not so happy about the war. Reno does not mean Galicia should dance to their tune, but maintaining a decent relationship with other nations, especially those major powers, are crucial to Galicia. If we help Romanians to rebuild their government, they will feel better and will have a better point of view towards Galicia.

Third, since they are still many Romanians serving in their army, it would be nice if Galicia can make use of them, instead of disbanding them......

Reno in the Parliament said:
Also, about the land which Galicia should take, Reno suggest that we should keep (Chisinew and Ismail) only. Bessarabia is Galicia's righteous land, apart from it, Galicia should not take more lands from Romania. First, those lands are righteous lands for THEM, and the people of Romania might have opinions if we takeover their lands. Second, since several political issues have unstablised our nation, it would be unlogic for us to make more Romanians our enemy. Third, since Ploesti have one of the biggest oil fields in Eastern Europe, Reno thinks the people of Romania will encounter less troubles to harvest oil than us, at least they need not to fight against rebelling Romanians......
(Puppet Romania and only keep the four provinces of Bassarabia.)

It was a magnificent victory, due to the weakness of our forces! I will take the head of the diplomatic mission to Craoiva. I personally ask for a puppetization followed by the occupation of our rightful provinces in Bessarabia and the Northern Transylvanian provinces of Bacau, Cluj-Napoca and Satu Mare. An annexation would be totally unuseful: we need a strong ally such as Romania and her advanced army, who will research and share with us technologies, instead of rebelling in our huge territory. We are not bellicist and expansionnist such as the Soviet Union...

How about the war with fascist Italy, comrade Field Marshal? I can maybe take in charge a mission to the Yugoslavian government...

I think the war will never truly happen considered that Turkey would not let Italian (and us) pass the channel.
Also, I think we should not cross Italy as we are weak compared to Italy.

I also support the idea of setting up a puppet government, and the annexation of Bessarabia, but why stop at northern Transylvania(may I call it Siebenburgen, it's easier to says)? Annex the whole Siebenburgen.

We should annex them. If we only take Besserabia and a few other areas, we would not necessarily be powerful enough to secure their loyalty. They already know we only won out of skill, and they may be so foolish to rebel against us, causing only further bloodshed. I consider it to be in the best interests of both Galicia and Romania that Romania becomes a part of our Glorious Republic.

Our core provinces in Romanian territory are Chisinev, Ismail, Bacau, Cluj-Napoca & Satu Mare. By the way, I love that name Satu Mare. It sounds so beautiful. In Finnish 'satu' means story or tale, and mare is almost meri, meaning sea. Sea of tales, sounds so beautiful, and also Satu Mare sounds beautiful, even without any meaning... :D

GIA Ethnic Report to Parliament said:
After analysing the current Situation, it is better to take our rightful claims and install a Puppet, because we would have severe problems to get the Non-Galician Population under our control. With this solution, we would have indirect control of their Industry and Army.

An additional option is to confiscate their Naval Bases to deploy a possible Galician Navy until we have better ones...

(this means take our claims and make the rest as a puppet and maybe taking control of a province with a naval base)
