I say we take Ruthenian Poland and form an alliance with out puppet(s) and friends.

Comrades of the Social Democratic Parliamentary People's Soviet Republic of Galicia! Why would we use our proud nation's name if we were not to ally with our eastern neighbour, the Union of Socialist Soviet Republics? We will be able to advance the cause of socialism together with them!

As for Poland, we should seek to protect them rather than trying to take spoils of a doomed state! That would be remembered badly and we'd lose whatever international prestige we have left.

I fear a rift in the party is growing. A rift between "Democrats" and "Socialists", who each seek to further out their own designs, as we saw in previous laws and clashes with other ideologies. This fine balance will one day break. We must - above all - maintain our unity. Not another civil war!

I fear for our little republic if we mix ourself in the greater war.

General Snatćer looked out a window at Cortoceni Palace. This splendid place was his home now that he had been installed as Romanian head of state. Unfortunately, it had it's problems. Since many of the fences and gates got knocked flat during the fighting, security was one. An egg hit the window. A guard responded with a burst of machine gun. "That will show them...", the general remarked. He then stepped into his office, a clean space, since he had essentially no governmental duties, and checked the various memos. "I wonder why we don't have too much in the Romanian budget..." (OOC: Die hard reformer + Ruthless powermonger = -50% money production :p ) But the budget didn't concern him, not after reading about the next big decision. Time to broadcast his opinion, an improvement from the soapbox speeches in front of the Parliament building...
General Sid Snatćer said:
Galicia needs to stand up for Ruthenians! She must stand up against German aggression, even at the cost of Poland! War! And to help us against them, we must join our friends, the USSR! Before I go, Romanians! Join the new Romanian Army! Fight for freedom! That is all.

The dark shadow of war looms over Europe again, and another great war will outbroke sooner or later. Galicia should not be dragged into this war unless she is provoked by the aggressors, so Reno thinks that Galicia should not join the major alliances to prevent the blaze of war spreads over our land.
(Form alliance with Romania and Leninist Slovakia)

(Reno decided not to comment about whether declaring war upon Poland)

Sorry for no update, but I have been quite busy and blah blah blah. But I think in this week I could post one or two updates :p I hope someone is still interested to read this AAR :D

Huh! Finally I update this AAR, I hope you still like it :p

Polish-Galician war

Year 1938, January the seventh Galician leaders met Romanian cabinet: Sid Snatcer and Erkki1, as well as leninist government of Slovak Republic. Military alliance was formed: target of Galicia was to guarantee their southern border.

In next day happened event which is nowadays called Kielce incident.

Kielce incident gave casus belli to Galicia and they started attack to Poland. However, some modern historians, especially in Poland, Russia and western democracies have present theories that whole Kielce incident was planned by Galician military command to get excuse to attack Poland. There's many things which support this theory, for example Galician armies were ready to attack on Galician-Polish border, lt. generals Vercetti and Pope had ready plans to occupy south Poland, Galician elite had voted about war few days before Kielce incident. And the most important thing: there's no Ruthens in Kielce. But for Galicia that was fight for freedom and liberty.

On early morning of January 8 Galician armies started assault. First one targeted to Kielce and was succesfull. Also Galician troops moved to unoccupied Rowne.

January 15 Slovakia annexed Czechoslovakia. Czech republic was partitioned with Germany, which got 'Protectorate of Bohemia' and Slovakia, which annexed east Czech to it's mainland named as Prague Province. Galicians were happy about this advantage of Marxism-Leninism and democracy and asked if Slovakians could send some troops to help their war against Poland - but Slovakia refused. Their army was too tired and people wanted peace. Romania and it's puppet government were more willing to help, but since Romania had only one militia division, they sent only one pioneer company. It was accepted to 5th Army on central front and lost 23 men during Polish campaign.

New assaults were started soon after occupying Kielce, but Battle of Czestochowa was defeat and Galicia lost almost 1,500 men in urban warfare. Germans were unwilling to help Galicians, and situation where both armies tried to occupy as big areas as possible before Poland surrendered got name 'Race to Warsaw'.

Next assault was started to Pinsk region, where Poland had quite powerful forces. However, Galician troops were better equipped and more experienced.

February 8, month after Galician assault - oh I mean Kielce incident - also USSR started assault. Poland was now at war with Allies, Germany, Austria, Balkan pact and Comintern, and it was quite clear that Poland was doomed to become annexed. Till end of February Soviet army occupied provinces of Swieciany, Wilno, Molodeczno, Lida & Baranovicze.

February 16 Reno Vercetti finished Agrichemistry. Next he targeted on Agricultural production. February 29 Galician Small Arms finished prototypes of new infantry equipment (basic infantry division) and next focused on special forces: airborne units. Till end of March 1938 Poland lost all of it's area and only Warsaw were left, but there was huge garrison: at least 25 infantry divisions. Few times Germans and Galicians tried co-operating assaults, but they all faulted.

Then my computer crashed and I have to continue on autosave from April 1938 :D But that's for next update. You can imagine that Tomashevsky drank too much and fall asleep... Or what's 'sammua' in English :D

Voting!

Nationalisation of Galician airlines:

YES
- slider moves one towards central planning
- free transport aircraft
- 3 dissent
NO
- one towards free market
- one towards political right

Long Live Socialist Democratic Parliamentary People's Soviet Republic of Galicia!

Nice update. :)
That's why I always activate my autosave as "per month" :D

Obviously, we must root out all corporations making a profit at the expense of the people and put them under strict government control. Our people must be freed from market capitalism as much as possible.

One vote for nationalization.

I protests against the war, we must stop it immidiately! For this reason, I also protest against the formation of the Balcan Pact, as it drags my beloved Romania into an imperialistic war.

As for these reasons, I defect to the Soviet Union, and reveal the imperialistic nature of Galicia to the Comintern. This is oppresion.

So, I don't really care about the nationalisation of Galician airlines. And it gives some unrealistic advantages, so NO.

This AAR is getting boring. Just simply a qounqouest of the world, becouse we are (unrealisticly) stronger than the others.

Nationalization ftw!
