This should be he. And yes... He is Norwegian but his siblings and parents not... But yes... The Norwegian version Óspakr should be better as name.

Sound for me like the tutoring culture change. And there is also a "maybe". Maybe he isn't the son of Dubgall.

Do you have a plausible alternative? Obviously I'm not trying to rewrite History here, but it does seem odd that only a single member of a family be of a different culture. What is your opinion?

I would make him Norse-Gaelic, but this isn't ingame. I personaly would leave him as Norwegian... Or search a Scottish form of his name and make him Scottish. But it really seems to be a special case in history.

This is possible. To bad the game can't simulate adopted children... This seems to be the case. I can't really say what we should do with him... I think your solution from post one would be okay.

There's no reason his culture should be any different from his bros (as they are), which would mean keeping his name and moving it to Scottish. Óspakr btw is Old Norse/Icelandic rather than Norwegian.

He is this character. And this character would be Norwegian more then Scottish.
And yes, but ther is no old norse or icelandic ingame... The game us the modern formes. But I don't know more about this.

His Gaelic name. The Scots have English names now, so Uspak would be best. I thought Óspakr looked better as a Norwegian name, but it's true that we don't tend to use Old Norse variants elsewhere.

Wikipedia would suggest he ought to be Norwegian, but Calgacus appears to know his stuff. o

His biography and name (given by his parents, the same ones the bros had!) don't make a difference; Somerled is not a Scottish/Gaelic name, neither is Ragnall/Ranald. The link between those names is a guess, but I agree Uspak and Gille-Escoib/Gillespic are very similar. So then maybe his Scottish name should be Gillespic (devs want Scottish names to be Anglified)?

I've reverted to Uspak and Scottish, as was my original proposition.
