I read that it is possible for eu2 games to use mod_dir to use all your mods, and not mixing them with vanilla files. Is such thing possible with doomsday, armageddon. I know u have to add some folder inside doomsday folder, and change the shortcut somehow. Could u please link me to some manual how to use this thing, or write one because i wasnt able to find anything in english online...

how about files overwriting... when i put in my mod_dir only a minister file for germany [because i've made some changes to this file] and i want the game to load all minister files from the vanilla and only overwrite the single minister file from mod_dir, is that possible? because when i loaded up germany was the only country with ministers at all... do i really have to copy all db to mod_dir and then make modifications?

because if it is so, it would be much simpler to simply copy whole game folder, and just keep vanilla for backup, when something is screwed up

No, you can use just the modded file in your moddir AFAIK. The only thing that still is a problem is the fact that the graphics require images of the same size and name in the original directory structure for them to load. Apart from that everything should work ok.

Umm - I recall we did have a problem with Minister files (in particular) and did end up having to replicate them all for CORE in the mod-dir folder - I think it just happens to be one of those things. But, in general terms, if you haven't replaced a file in mod-dir, the game should load the appropriate vanilla file instead.
