Hello! I've been loving the new patch and have been playing a Ptolemaic Egypt game. Not Ironman and already past the end date so achievements or anything are not a concern. I started the game under 2.0.1, I'm now running 2.0.2

I'm stuck on the Hellenistic Empire mission tree because of (I think - both issues are reported) bugs. The first is regarding the "empire" requirement for Successor Empire - I am an Imperial Cult and no longer have the decision to switch to Empire.

The second is that I see a bit further down the tree that that I need the philosophike anthologia, but that decision is also missing. I suspect that is because the other treasures required got destroyed before the last patch fixed that issue?

Regardless, I don't mind cheating to get past this - I just want to continue this game. Is there some way to use console commands to trigger the appropriate decisions/bring back the artifacts/change government or even just force a mission to complete? Some searching has gotten me as far as activating the console, but I haven't been able to find appropriate commands.

Thanks in advance! (and sorry if this is in the wrong subforum)

That's a very complicated problem to solve. I am very knowledgable about most console commands, and I don't think there's a way to do that.

It could be possible via save-editing, but that's more complicated. If you were to do it via save editing here's how I would do it. search for your country by searching for tag="EGY" then scroll down until your see the government type. Replace imperial_cult with imperium. The treasures would be more complicated because you need to check to see which ones still exist. Treasures 214, 215, and 77 are for the armor. Treasures 233, 236, 224, 211, 210, 208, 209, 207, and 204 are for the anthology. The only way to do this is count treasures={ and then search every instance of that to see if the number corresponding to the treasure is in the save file. I wish you the best of luck.

Hey thanks - very much appreciate the help. So I think I've figured it out - the change of government to empire via save edit was straight forward enough. The artifacts as you said were much more complicated. I tried just sticking them in my country's inventory, but for three of the artifacts, all I got was a graphical/text template - the rest were duplicates of what I had or elsewhere on the map (so I could see where those were). Looking in the save file, I found that 208, 209, and 211 had "none" next to their entry as opposed to the usual script the describes the name, the icon used, etc. so i copied over the script from a new game save file and it all *seems* to be working! I just gave myself the three missing ones (all were in Greece and I had conquered that anyways).

Very sad to see the sheer number of artifacts just destroyed with "none" by the id - 72 in total just wiped out from the beginning of the game. I only restored the three, probably no point fixing the rest since they wouldn't be with any country anymore and giving them to myself is probably overpowered.

The decision has reappeared and I can see where the remaining non-destroyed ones are now. Nippur for two items needed for the anthologia and unfortunately the Pracyan (replaced the Mauryans) Empire reliquary for the last panoply one....so that might not happen since they control all of india, the gulf and half of persia, but at least its fair again! Edited the save back to imperial cult and I *think* its all good to go.

Fingers crossed it dosen't cause new issues. And thanks again for your help! Happy to be able to continue this game AND feel I learned a lot - a win-win!
