Using a US version?

Hi, I'm from England but I would love to get Victoria as soon as I can since it looks a very good game. It will be about Febuary until we get it in The UK so I would rather try and buy a US version however I was wondering, could I actually play a US Victoria on my UK PC? Or will it not run due to it being a US version? I was just wondering about this. Any help would be appreciated.

Actually, I would say the fact that the game is being made avaliable in so many languages displays the might of it's imperial reach, so perhaps she would approve.

Just order it from Canada, we use British English, and we should get it about the same time as in the States.

There's no such thing as a UK computer. The chips, Bios, and software are made in USA, the boards and cards are made in Taiwan, the cd, floppy, and harddrives are made in japan, and the case, powersupply, mouse and keyboard are made in China.

Does Vicky got 2 different English version (US/UK)? I don't think so. SF is Canada based and I doubt that they would change the English into American Style.

HoI used (UK) English - things like Armour, organisation, and a few others. When I played MP with someone, he was quick to point out that several things were 'misspelled'. I had to explain, it was made in Europe.

A bit off-topic

AFAIK Even bios and chips are made in South East Asia. Taiwan and Korea ovveruns Japan in harddrives storages. Only high-end drives are manufactured in Japan. Other accessories are made in China.

Anyway, basically if you install Windows XP, you won't got any problem in running the game. The language coding function is handy and you only need a boot to change the code.

I really dont think they use "American English" to create the game. Canada and the U.S. should have the exact same version. The U.S. version should also be extremely similar to the uk version. We all know english, they cant cater to our particular country, so they'll write it in english, normal english.
The danish version is even in english, they're not a big enough market.
