I have a question, does infra or trade (infra especially, as I could see how trade could be tied to further trade efficiency) have any purpose after you discover the last tech that they give you? And if not, what use are goods manufacturies?

In general, once you have reached Infra 6 (for goods manus) and Trade 5 (whereupon you will likely have the Trade tech lead in any SP game), you can pretty much intersperse increasing those techs with increasing your LT and/or NT techs as needed. Use the manus you build to keep your progress in Infra and Trade going even when not putting monthly income into them. Oftentimes, the ahead-of-time penalty is so large for Infra and Trade techs that it makes more sense to time them so that you aren't so far ahead.Pikeman85 said:Oh I know of that. That was the first thing I researched. I've got 0 or near enough to it inflation, as well as governors, tax collectors and chief judges in near every province.

jwolf said:Yes it is. Just check out the Dutch in the late 1700s scenarios and they should already be there. For a player run country you should have both trade and production efficiencies past 100% in the late game stages (and possibly much earlier, depending on your strategy).
