Even if this were true, there are always other factors which the player might like to check on. Example, even if the event gave you all of the direct results, to, say, sliders, the player might still want to know when he could change sliders in making his choice. Or getting a CB, the player might want to check out his other CBs (be sure to sing "Whom Shall I Kill?"

I hope it's not too tough to implement - don't make the box modal (I think that's the term for "deal with me NOW!" boxes).
An undo feature would be nice, also. That could just be a matter of saving the game on the fly and restoring if the player chooses "undo", automatically popping the box back up. Saves can take a while, so make activating the "undo" function optional.
